Every year we organise one in-person (not online) training course in Budapest.

The next methodology course is expected in summer 2027.

Preliminary audition

The preliminary audition is held online.

You can choose the time of your audition using a table sent by e-mail. A Google account is required to use the table.

Course participation fee

HUF 180,000/person

Trademark use

After completing the course, suitably prepared participants may have the opportunity to use the Ringató name under a separate agreement and against payment of a trademark licence fee.

Trademark licence fee: HUF 36,000 net/year.

Trademark users may organise and conduct sessions under the Ringató name.

Who is the Ringató methodology course for?

We welcome applicants who specifically want to complete the course because they wish to join the Ringató network and become authorised users of the Ringató trademark.

For Ringató session leaders, we are looking for colleagues who:

• have appropriate musical training and sing confidently, clearly and expressively;
• articulate well and speak beautifully and correctly;
• have good presentation skills as well as strong interpersonal and organisational abilities;
• can read music confidently and play a classical or folk instrument (the piano is not practical during sessions);
• are receptive to the arts;
• are experienced singers, familiar with teaching folk songs and able to convey the musical material of the sessions convincingly;
• can build singing communities around themselves and work with dedication and commitment to music education;
• have a higher-education degree (a teaching qualification is not required);
• use the internet regularly and can devote time to keeping in touch with colleagues working in different parts of the country.

Why is it worth completing this course?

The aim of the course is for applicants to acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge, methodology and musical repertoire of early childhood music education based on Kodály principles.

A further aim is to provide participants with a model of a distinctive group-leading technique in which adults and young children receive music education together.

This methodology is not taught elsewhere.

It is worth completing the course because:

• participants can acquire knowledge that is not taught within formal school education;
• they receive the material to a high professional standard and from an authentic source;
• they become capable of leading similar sessions;
• the sessions can provide valuable programmes for playhouses, cultural centres, nurseries, kindergartens and other educational and cultural institutions;
• our experience shows that there is substantial demand for these sessions throughout the country;
• within arts education, music education is an essential part of the healthy development of young children, while shared play and singing are also a source of joy for adults;
• after completing the course, session leaders operating under the Ringató name can also join an excellent and close-knit professional community.

Purpose of the preliminary audition

The purpose of the preliminary audition is for us to get to know one another and, before the course begins, decide whether we see potential for the applicant to become an authorised Ringató trademark user.

During the conversation, we ask the applicant to briefly introduce herself and then sing one or two Hungarian folk songs of her choice.

Applications for the Ringató course can only be submitted using the fully completed online application form.

Personal data provided during the application process are treated confidentially and are not disclosed to third parties either free of charge or for consideration.

Once you have completed the online application form, there is nothing further you need to do.

Why is use of the Ringató trademark beneficial?

For session leaders authorised to use the Ringató trademark, we provide access to the well-established, long-running infrastructure behind the sessions.

On request, we provide assistance with organisation and promotion of the sessions.

The Ringató website displays the session leader's name and authorisation. Each leader can manage an individual profile on the website where parents can find information about the location and time of sessions.

Trademark users benefit from the high professional standards and recognition that characterise the programme. They can continuously expand their knowledge and have access to regular professional contact, advice and unlimited observation opportunities.

Anyone who misses any part of the course cannot be granted the right to use the trademark.

We also emphasise that active professional participation after the course is essential for those working as Ringató session leaders and trademark users, including attendance at events and meetings and regular contact with colleagues and the programme leader.
